Hupin Resort sought to differentiate itself in the competitive hospitality market by launching a new wing that emphasized sustainability and unique spatial experience of living like a local and with nature, catering to eco-conscious travelers.


Problem:

The resort faced challenges in designing a product that balanced environmental responsibility, cultural authenticity, and modern guest expectations, while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability.

Role & Responsibilities

Product Manager - Chief Architect

  • Defined the product vision, aligning with sustainability goals and cultural themes.

  • Conducted market research to identify guest preferences and industry trends.

  • Designed spaces that integrated local craftsmanship with modern comforts.

  • Led cross-functional teams through the design, construction, and launch phases.

  • Developed and implemented a marketing strategy to position the Delias Wing as a flagship offering.

  • Conducted surveys with eco-conscious and culturally curious travelers to understand their priorities.

  • Collaborated with local artisans and cultural experts to incorporate regional design elements.

  • Established sustainability benchmarks, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and use of renewable materials.

  • Created a guest journey map to ensure seamless experiences into the stay.


Design & Development:

  • Designed rooms using reclaimed wood, natural fabrics, and locally sourced materials.

  • Integrated large windows and open layouts to enhance natural lighting and ventilation.

  • Added features such as local architectural feature, artwork inspired by locality, educational materials on local flora and fauna.
